The Texas Instruments Ti-92 is a BIG calculator !! in fact, with the full ASCII beyboard, it was considered a computer, and therefore was banned from certain test, such as SAT.

When it was introduced, in 1995, it was intended to be a top of the line calculator, with some functions such as 3D graphics, not available in any other calculator. But it may have been a design error, because the size and weight were playing against it, and students preferred smalled calculators, even if they didn't have all the exotic functions on them.
The line included the TI-92, then a TI-92 Plus, with more memory and a better screen, and finally the VOYAGE 200 which came around the year 2000
All three calculators were huge and heavy, even if the Voyage was a little bit lighter than its older brothers.

The TI-92 is built like a tank, with heavy and thick plastic covers. This didn't help to make it popular. Most students preferred the TI-83 or 84 calculators, much cheaper, but good enough for most of the problems you can have in High School. Texas Instruments later introduced the TI-89 which had all the same functions as the TI-92, but in a smaller and more compact design (without the full keyboard). The TI-89 was and still is a big favorite for all students.

To appreciate the size and weight of this calculator, see a small video below describing it.
