This one was never sold as an HP product, and stayed as a prototype project. The idea was new at the time (in 2000), to have a large screen and use a stylus to input data. This was also the golden time of the PDAs, and HP tried to adapt this idea to the calculators.


There were a lot of available functions on the calculator, and HP was targeting schools (teachers and students). Thousands of them were given to several schools for evaluations, and in the end, it was found that it wouldn't be a viable product for marketing. Several reasons to that, but maybe one of them being the price.

Also, the use of a stylus for a calculator has been tried several times in various brands, and was never a big hit.

If you are patient, you can still find a few of those in the market, but they are not cheap !!!
